Having just spent a month in beautiful Napa, I must concur that L'Auberge is a dreamy place. For a private but less romantic place (there are many families; not that that should make it less romantic), I must also recommend The Jean Michel Cousteau Resort in Fiji. It us arguably one of the the top snorkeling places in the world, and the experience is a very moving one.
Off topic, I am heading to New York City this weekend and am interested in recommendations for Wine Bars. We will be staying in the Trendy Upper East Side, but we'll be downtown, etc. as well.
