Raja Fashions
Combine the sensibilities of the English and the global sophistication of Hong Kong, and it’s only natural that menswear mavens would expect the height of quality and individuality from their bespoke tailor. There is no place in the world like Hong Kong, after all. But Raja Daswani knows that Hong Kong is a doorway to the world, and in order to custom-fit the world with quality and style, he maintains an astounding stock of 20,000 fabrics and covers all the major cities in the UK, USA, France, Germany and Japan – as well as Hong Kong and the rest of the Chinese mainland. Raja’s father brought the family commitment from northern India to Hong Kong a generation ago. His uncles and aunts followed, so when Raja established himself, he brought the bloodlines as well as the business acumen. If one of Raja’s “Best Of” bespoke suits makes you feel like the world, it’s because of the boundless reservoir of sophistication that the man himself brought to the effort.

I bought two suits in 2005. They fit reasonably well, but I would have fared just as well off the peg at between a half and a third the price. They purport to be in competition with the bespoke brigade, but the finish is anything but. Over time I have found corners of the suits where final stitching leaves much to be desired, and the buttons have not been adequately sewn on..to the extent that even those I don't use (e.g. buttons to attach braces to trousers) come away of their own volition. The advertising is a little bit economical with the verite as well. The £169 suits are linen only (no wool in sight) and in colours that would make Max Miller blanche. The £325 one in medium weight British cloth turns out to be at least double that for a lightweight version in a presentable colour. There may be 20,000 swatches available in the hotel room where the fittings are made, but less than 20 of those would pass muster for anybody seeking a stylish suit.
I acknowledge I needn't have purchased at the price, but it was only when the first suit arrived I began to see the difference between the spin and the reality. I fully accept that "caveat emptor" applies in spades, but once bitten twicw shy. I won't be back.
Saville Row may cost more, but they're always close by, they pay attention to detail and they finish professionally...and they don't send their carefully crafted products by post in a jiffy bag reinforced by yards of sellotape, necessitating months of pressing before the suit sits half right. Their shirts are inferior quality for the price as well. You will do better and cheaper with T M Lewin or Thomas Pink.

Celebrities
There are a lot of things to envy about female celebrities: their flawless skin, their perfect
features, and their gorgeous boyfriends. One thing you don’t have to envy, however, is their
handbags. If you’ve seen a celebrity carrying around Chanel handbags and have lusted after one,
you should know that it’s entirely possible to own one! Imitation Chanel handbags are much less
expensive than ones that you would purchase in a store, yet they are made of the same material and
look exactly the same. So close to the original, in fact, that even a celebrity can’t tell them
apart!
Imitation Chanel handbags online, like the Chanel Classic Lambskin Flap in white is easily
affordable when you purchase Chanel handbags online. In fact, Mischa Barton owned one of these
handbags and was seen toting it around everywhere for a very long time. The signature quilted
leather and interlaced chain and leather straps make this a must for anyone who loves Chanel bags,
and the 10” drop handle makes it perfect to carry anywhere. If you’re looking for Chanel handbags
online and are fretting because you can’t afford them, check out imitation Chanel handbags and get
your wallet ready, because they’re easily affordable and beautiful as well!

This organization is terrible to deal with. Do yourself a favor and find a local tailor to work with. I was a new customer last year and purchased a suite and three shirts. The quality was adequate, but I have found better fabrics at my local tailor for a fraction of the cost.
My biggest concern is with their customer service as it is non-existent. I tried on several occasions to contact that about an issue with my order. I finally found the email of the person who did my fitting and emailed him directly. He said that he could assist and to meet him next time he was in town.
When I did meet him, he then tells me there is nothing that he can do, and "how many suits would you like to purchase today"? i.e. I just wanted to get you here to try and sell you something with no intention of helping you.
The prices are terrible and the customer service is worst! Do yourself a favor and buy from someone else. The experience will have to beat what you would get here.

My experience of this company is of a long catalogue of errors. I asked them to shorten jacket sleeves from the shoulder, not from the base of the sleeves. What happened? They shortened from the base of the sleeves. They have committed this particular error twice, once in 2007 and now again in 2010. They have made trousers without pockets. They have made a tuxedo with the wrong type of lapel. They have made three pairs of trousers with belt loops when I specified NO belt loops. I am fed up with having to complain and battle to get things made correctly and to get errors put right, traipsing up to London time after time to return garments to have errors rectified. Even if you e-mail the company in order to put your specifications in writing, Raja still get things wrong and do the opposite of what you have asked them to do. I am not going to use them again, and I am going to sue them over their latest error.

I first went to Raja about 3 years ago in Canary Wharf in London due to an article I read which seemed complimentary. When i first walked through the doors of the hotel room where they base themselves, I immediately got the hard sell, rather than useful advice or guideance with the fabrics and price ranges, in fact there was no price structure whatsoever. All they could say to me was... "Sir, if you spend a little MOREm. I can get you a very bice suit" Incredulous and not even being told which fabrics cost what. I walked out. A year later i decided to gove them another chance, being more confident at telling them waht my needs were. I eventually ordered 3 suits. They arrived vacuum squashed in bags as described above. I ahd rto have them all pressed.. All 3 suits fitted differently, not slightly different, noticeably different. One of the suit jackets had no vents, despite requesting them and when I went to visit them next time they were in town, they said they couldn't do anything about it. I do not feel I can use them again. However. The one caveat is that I still wear one of the suits regularly, which is satisfactory, just! for the price! However I feel i could of done better by going to Charles Thywitt, TM Lewin or Hackett etc etc and at least being able to walk in directly to the store with my complaints

Avoid Raja like the plague! This site contains many negative reviews of them which tally with my experience. I am suspicious of the origin of most of the positive reviews - read the style in which they are written. I placed two orders with Raja. The errors that the company have committed in the course of those two orders is barely credible. One order was for a tuxedo. They messed up the jacket by shortening the sleeves from the sleeve base instead of from the shoulder This left an indelible hemline on the sleeves. They re-made the tuxedo. This time they made it without trouser pockets and with the wrong jacket lapels! I threatened legal action. They re-made the tuxedo again. This time the sleeves were too long. I told them to shorten them. I told them to shorten them from the shoulder, not from the sleeve base. They shortened the sleeves from the sleeve base! This again left an indelible hemline on the sleeves. They have refused to rectify their error. I am therefore suing them. My other order was for two suits and a pair of trousers. They made all three pairs of trousers with belt loops, contrary to my instructions. They sent the order back to Hong Kong to rectify matters, but they lost they garments and had to re-make them. Eventually they texted me to say that a courier would deliver the order that day, but the courier did not turn up. Raja had given the courier the wrong delivery address! It took months for this order to reach me in an acceptable state, given Raja's many errors. As I said, avoid the company. King and Allen (www.kingandallen.co.uk) have offices throughout the UK and are far superior to Raja, with keen prices that match the latter's.

TO BE AVOIDED!!!! I read some bad comments about Raja Fashions but I did not pay attention to it. I know some people have been happy with their suits, and other have not. Personnaly, I have been really dissappointed. I have been in the shop five times, to get only two fittings, while I have been told that I would get at least three fittings. I never saw the same salesman every time I came, and 3 times out of 5 I went there for nothing because my suits were not ready or the taylor was missing so nobody could proceed to my fitting. The service is really poor, the only advices they gave you is to sell more stuff and quality of the work is poor. Raja might have been a good taylor working for famous people (I have no doubt about that), but now he is just a business man running an army of salesman thinking about selling you a bunch of poor quality products, instead of trying to create a long term relationship with you. Instead of making you feel like a valuable customer, who could asked them to make suits all the rest of your life, they think about ripping you off once and do not care about never working with you again.

Absolutely to be avoided. Got two suits from these guys having fallen prey to hardsell. And made the mistake of upgrading to expensive fabric. Paid at total of three thousand US dollars for the suits. Still a bargain compared with the Zegna suits in the boutiques down the street I thought. Boy, was I mistaken! I had been had nice and sweet. These are suits put together in a sweatshop in China and then passed off as "tailored". The stitching is terrible, the buttons are cheap, and I suspect the fabric is fake. And they will try to sell you suits as you wait sipping Coca-Cola in the ratty backroom of their shop as dozens of Indian guys take a break from harassing tourists on the streets and the tailor shows-off his Bentley to valued customers. This operation is a typical "golden-mile" scam. Stay away and save yourself the hassle. And god-forbid you try to get your money back. They've got it all sewn up nicely.
