If life is a highway, this is the car we would choose to have going our way. Heck, we might even be willing to go the wrong way for a while in the Bentley Continental GTC convertible. The new convertible version of the Continental GT coupe, the four-seat GTC is the height of elegance and luxury. Admire Old World craftsmanship evident in the hand-polished wood veneer trim and premium-grade leather (selected from Northern Europe hides renowned for their imperfections). Attention to detail is also obvious under the hood, where a 6.0-liter, 12-cyclinder engine (configured in four banks of three cylinders in a “W” formation) produces high torque at low revs for astounding acceleration. This W-12, twin turbocharged power plant delivers an impressive 552 hp that takes this “Best Of” to a top speed of 195 mph and from 0-60 mph in 4.8 seconds. Self-adjusting air springs and electronic dampers operate independently for each wheel to provide intuitive road condition feedback. Suspension and ride height adjustments are controlled by the center console, as are the DVD navigation system, on-board computer, audio system and mobile telephone controls.
